About Zanda

Hi, I am Zanda. I have over several years' experience of working as a counsellor with adults, children and young people enabling clients to overcome a wide range of challenges. I am registered and accredited with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  I adhere to the BACP ethical framework, following principles and values for good practice along with holding my own insurance.

I am based in Staffordshire, provide counselling sessions online, via phone and face to face in the Cannock Chase area at the Pye Green Community Centre. 

As you see on photos like this one at the side that's me and handsome German Shepherd Bert (bias I know), who your see throughout my page and other social media accounts. 

I enjoy taking Bert out for a walk in the beautiful nature, gardening, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. 

I am very passionate about counselling and have always been in supportive roles having worked as a support worker with children and young people in supported living, adults with mental health in supported living, a contact officer for children in care, life skills coach and project worker in mental health services. 

I have experience of working in a variety of settings within the NHS Talking Therapies, MIND, bereavement services, Employment Assistant Programmes (EAP), sexual violence and abuse services as a counsellor working with adults, children and young people.

I am an accredited therapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with specialised training in various counselling and psychotherapy techniques. Been equipped to support you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery. I attend training regularly to keep my skills and knowledge up to date, along with regularly attending clinical supervision to ensure that I am practicing both ethically and safely.

I would describe my approach as an integrative counsellor using various approaches in order to fit each individual's needs.  I believe that you are the expert in your own thoughts, feelings and experiences, I will walk alongside you on your journey. Helping you to reach self-actualisation, developing a sense of who you are and enabling you to reach your full potential. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our sessions to meet your unique and specific needs. Holistic approach to therapy focuses on the individual as a whole. Client-centred therapy ensures that your unique needs and preferences are at the forefront of every session, allowing for a personalised and effective therapeutic experience.
